Dr. Philip Comberg is a founding partner of ALCOSA CAPITAL. Previously he worked as an investment banker with the financial institutions group of Deutsche Bank Global Corporate Finance. He advised on a number of buy-side, sell-side and restructuring mandates, e.g. restructuring of Depfa Group and going public of Aareal Bank, Eurohypo merger, planned privatization of Bankgesellschaft Berlin, acquisition of Neckura Versicherung. Prior to his investment banking career, Philip worked as a lawyer with Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer and Clifford Chance where he was involved in numerous M&A and capital markets transactions in Europe and Asia.

Clients he advised include Aareal Bank, Credit Suisse, DEPFA, JC Flowers & Co, MLP, Océ, SEB, Skandia, Texas Pacific Group, ThyssenKrupp, WestLB.

Philip holds a German law degree of the University of Heidelberg and a Chinese Language Degree of Zhong Shan University of Guangzhou, P.R. China, as well as a Master of Law of NYU School of Law and a Doctor of Law of the University of Düsseldorf.
